General Overview

Seeking an experienced project manager who is responsible for overseeing a construction project.  They will lead the projects from beginning to end, knowledgeable about regulations, permits and project management methodology.  Able to work well with others, highly organized and detail-oriented.  Other critical responsibilities as follows:

 

  • Planning construction project
  • Creating construction schedule
  • Budget monitoring and balancing
  • Tracking activities in a project from beginning to end
  • Working with various sub-contractors, vendors and managing supplies

 

Responsibilities

  • Head a team of project staffs
  • Provide the direction in construction planning, coordinate works with sub-contractors, client and consultant to ensure overall construction progress based on schedule of works
  • Understand and ensure Site Safety requirements are met while executing works on site by Sub-contractors
  • Ensure the effectiveness and implementation and successful completion of projects undertaken by the Company within schedule, cost and quality
  • Verify the overall list of construction details and design based on construction plans and drawing designs before construction and on variations or defects when processing payments to subcontractors

Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Civil) / Construction Engineering (Civil) / or equivalent.
  • Preferably Project Manager specializing and experience in local private residential and commercial building.
  • Familiar with our local standard quality implementation, BCA CONQUAS and Quality Mark Assessment and safety aspects in the construction industry.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills.
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management skills such as time management, project budgeting, resource management and project scheduling.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Handle project coordination and responsible for all works in designated projects
  • Responsible in overseeing the overall site progress to ensure the structural, architectural and MEP works of the project team and sub-contractors are in compliance to the defined standards and Safety regulations.
  • Liaise with project engineer, site supervisor on all the coordination shop drawings.
  • Plan and advise the construction foreman on sequencing and arrangement of work.
  • Provide regular reports to the Project Manager on the progress of overall works in assigned projects.
  • Attend technical meeting/site meetings with consultants, and provide technical solutions;
  • Ensure architectural works are carried out according to specifications / drawings;
  • Inform Project Manager on any technical / site problems pertaining to architectural works;

Requirements:

  • Min Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Architectural and/ or relevant fields
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Well-versed in the operations, coordination and details for architectural, structural and M&E field works
  • Strong leadership to monitor Coordinators and Foremen for the works executed
  • Experienced in local building/ residential project is preferred

Responsibilities :

  • Review and align M&E design drawings to ensure compliance with specification and guidelines.
  • Responsible for on-site technical & engineering matters and quality checks.
  • Conduct joint inspections with RTO.
  • Ensure M&E works are performed on time and in compliance with all necessary standards, code of practice and safety regulation.
  • Manage M&E sub-contractors work progress, drawings, materials, samples, method statements submission and approval.
  • Supervise M&E works and coordinate with Client’s representative, consultants and sub-contractors on technical matters.

Requirements :

  • Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical or Electrical and/ or related fields
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in building/ Good Class Bungalow project
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently

 

Responsibilities:

  • Measurement of quantities
  • Sourcing of Subcontractors and suppliers
  • Evaluation of price comparison
  • Estimation for variations submissions
  • Monitoring of project variations
  • Valuing completed works and preparing subcontractor’s payment
  • Attendance of site/technical meetings including preparation of debrief
  • Conducting site measurements
  • Review and understand all plans and specifications
  • Arranging meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to review the specifications, scope of works and method of construction if required
  • Preparation of Tender Queries
  • Materials Tracking

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Building/ Quantity Surveying.
  • Min 2-3 years’ experience, preferably from Main Contractor
  • Well-versed in both Contracts Administration and Tenders
  • Possess good negotiation and coordination skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to communicate with people from all levels.
  • Meticulous, analytical with excellent problem solving skills, proactive, good team player and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
